About Mandy

I am a native New Yorker with a master’s degree in special and general education from Bank Street College of Education and over 20 years of experience as an educator across various NYC school settings. As the founding Division Head at a Brooklyn lower school, I developed structures, protocols, and curriculum, which deepened my understanding of effective school environments. I know what NYC students need to thrive and believe that meeting them where they are and individualizing learning is essential for making education both accessible and transformative.​

Over the years I have seen the frustrations and challenges families experience when their children need additional support or maybe a different school setting. The educational landscape can be confusing, with jargon, various models, and conflicting advice. As a mother of two teenagers in NYC schools, I personally understand these challenges and the importance of being resourceful in making informed decisions. This insight inspired me to start this service, designed to eliminate the guesswork in finding the right school fit.

While I cannot guarantee placement in a specific program, I ensure you are informed about all options and fully understand each school you consider. Leveraging my extensive network and relationships with schools, I advocate on your behalf.
